That's The Way I Like It

Blouse: Joie; Sweater: Cynthia Rowley; Boots: Madewell; Jumpsuit: Flying Tomato (via Gypsy Wagon Boutique in Dallas); Necklace: Vintage (from my Grandma)
Channeling my disco vibes with this jumpsuit... when I saw it in the Gypsy Wagon boutique in Dallas on sale, I could see myself jamming out to KC and the Sunshine Band in the comfort of this one piece wonder. It's very lightweight so I'll be having ** Good Times** in this all year long whether it's paired with a thin tank or layers upon layers! (Good Times- Chic check it out)
** Look to the Spring 2015 collections of Tommy Hilfiger and Saint Laurent for some more 70's influenced fashion on Style.com

Words of Wisdom

Boots: Vera Wang Kohls' Collection; Socks: Free People; Pans: Dolan Los Angeles; Tank: Target; Sweater: Joie; Purse: Lo & Sons; Ship Ring: Flotsam & Jetsam; Star Ring: Digby + Iona; Headband: Anthropologie(?)

What is the point of studying French in school if not to validate wearing clothing with famous french quotes? I have to admit, it's certainly a perk. This Joie sweatshirt has the famous french quote "je ne regrette rien" from the song Non, Je ne Regrette Rien performed famously by Édith Piaf. After watching the biographic movie with Marion Cotillard, I can't deny that I was proud of myself for recognizing the quote haha

This outfit doesn't incorporate just one quote, but TWO... My ring says "Keep your eyes on the starts" and "Keep your feet on the ground." It is inspired by the famous Teddy Roosevelt speech. The ring is from http://digbyandiona.com which I strongly recommend you check out; their jewelry is incredible!

Vintage Levis

Cardigan: Tory Burch; Purple tank: Dolan Los Angeles; Purse: Coach (Cupcakes and Cashmere for Coach); Bracelet: gift; Jeans: Mom's vintage Levi's

Confession: I hate jeans. I truly do. To clarify, I hate the way they feel. I'm on a never-ending journey to find jeans that feel like... well, not jeans. Unfortunately, I love the way they look. And, before I find those illusive perfectly fitting pair I'll have fun styling my mom's awesome looking vintage Levi's! [I figure maybe if I like the outfit enough I can convince myself it's worth it to wear the jeans more often!]

What's in a Name?

Frankly, lots of things. Connotations, implications, etc, etc. Because of this, the decision to start a blog is undeniably intertwined with the ability to come up with a witty name for said blog. So, to give context to my new blog, I figured it would be logical to describe where this random string of words (“Rose Tinted Logic”) came from! When I stumbled upon the blogging world late in my middle school days, I found it to be this wonderfully glossy filtered world. It had a rose-tint to it all. I hope to create a blog that is representative of myself, and I often find myself split between my logical, more practical side and my desire for this rose-tinted fashion world, so I thought, hey, why don’t I express both in the title of my new blog? And there you have it: Rose Tinted Logic.
